PERSONAL INJURY AFTER COLLISION (TRAFFIC ACCIDENT)

Have you suffered a personal injury after a collision? If you are a driver of a motor vehicle involved in an accident but the collision was not your fault and you have injuries, you are able to claim compensation. 

When the person who caused the accident is 100% liable, you get paid for all the damages you suffered. However, compensation will be reduced if you are also partially liable for causing the accident. For example, if the other driver is 50% liable and you are 50% liable, you will be compensated for half of the damages suffered. 

Hit and run

Have you been hit by a motor vehicle and the driver has escaped without you knowing who they are? Then you can still get compensation. 

In such cases, we can help you claim compensation with the Waarborgfonds Motorverkeer (Road Transport Guarantee Fund). However, you should go to the police as soon as possible after the accident to have a report drawn up. This is a requirement for the Guarantee Fund. 

The following actions are recommended in the event of an accident:
- Take photos of the scene and any marks on your bike or scooter.
- Try to find witnesses.
